The Case for Women’s Philanthropy
Jewish Federation of Palm Springs
and Desert Area
“I would like to think that someday, when our dreams have been fulfilled, they will say that it was women giving of their ideas and resources that made the difference.”
-Golda Meir
Today, by making a gift in one’s own name, each person fulfills the obligation of charity (tzedakah) in order to repair the world (tikkun olam). Your personal and individual gift allows you to take your place among inspirational Jewish leaders past, present and future in making this world better for everyone. Each woman who makes a gift in her own name is a change agent, serving as a role model for family members, friends and the greater community for this generation and generations to come. So, take your place among the long line of Jewish women influencers and leaders. Whether a full-time or part-time resident, do your part to demonstrate that you care. Join the hundreds of committed women in the Desert Area who make Jewish philanthropy their passion and their mission. Every woman's gift is personal and every gift makes a big difference in the lives of people that you may never meet but can truly touch.
Lion of Judah
Endowment
The Lion of Judah Endowment (LOJE) helps secure a strong and vibrant Jewish community for your children and grandchildren to enjoy. It also provides for the needs of the Jewish poor, assists the elderly, rescues Jews facing hardship and peril around the world, fights anti-Semitism and helps protect Israel... decades from now and for generations to come. Join the over 3,044 women who have established a LOJE, which you can create to fit your philanthropic and financial goals with an endowment of $100,000 or more.
