WHAT WE DO

PJ LIBRARY

The PJ Library is a Jewish engagement and literacy program for Jewish and Interfaith families. This program offers free high-quality Jewish books and music each month to children from 6 months-8 years of age. PJ Library books celebrate important aspects of Jewish culture, values and traditions and become our children's cherished bedtime (PJ/pajama) stories.

Sign up online at www.pjlibrary.org to enroll your children in this free program.

The Harold Grinspoon Charitable Foundation in conjunction with our Jewish Federation of the Desert are thrilled to offer this program to our community to aide families in raising Jewish children and fostering a deeper engagement with Jewish life.

PJ Our Way is a continuation of PJ Library for children 8-1/2 to 11 years of age.  Rather than receiving monthly pre-selected books, the kids can go directly to www.pjourway.org every month to choose from a list of quality, age appropriate chapter books or graphic novel selections . They then have the opportunity to write reviews of their selections, and take polls and quizzes and comment on blog posts.

PJ Library Radio is now available to stream Jewish kids music 24/7

There is an app to download on the IOS app store or on the Android App.

You can also listen to it on TuneIn radio.

The newest initiative

The newest initiative to launch this month is for all Bubbies, Zaydes,  Tzavtas, and Sabas , Mimis and Papas (Grandparents). They can sign up and receive monthly award winning books that help celebrate Jewish values that can be shared with their grandchildren in person, through Facetime or over the phone. To be eligible for this the grandchildren must be enrolled in one of the PJ programs and as in the other two programs there is no cost to the family.

This program is also made possible from the Harold Grinspoon Charitable Foundation and our Jewish Federation of the Desert.
