The Mission of the Jewish Federation of the Desert, as the central communal organization for the Jewish population for the Coachella Valley, is dedicated to promoting the values and quality of Jewish life. It is committed to fostering a continuity of Jewish life for future generations. The Federation is further committed to the unity of the Jewish people worldwide, the strengthening of the state of Israel, and the helping of Jews in need wherever they reside.

In the past five years your Federation has raised nearly $14 million in support of vitally needed services locally, in Israel and around the world. Birthright Boosts Israel’s Economy
June 1, 2012

Beyond connecting Jewish youth to Israel, Taglit-Birthright Israel, supported by Jewish Federations, has also boosted Israel's economy. Since its inception, Taglit-Birthright Israel has contributed $535 million to Israel’s economy, and more than $60 million in 2011 alone.

Women’s Philanthropy of the Jewish Federation of Palm Springs and Desert Area is a voluntary association of women who are committed to the Jewish values of Tzedakah (justice) and Tikun Olam (repairing the world).  Comprised of both full time residents and “snowbirds” we provide a link between the Jewish women of the Coachella Valley and the Jewish people around the world.
